Your answer cannot be "You bought cheap curtains"

So, my mom and I picked out some curtains for my stepson's room. I wasn't sold on them originally, but seeing them up, I like them better. However, they have this weird tab-thing/extra piece of material going on. Does this piece of material serve a purpose? If so, what is it? If not, should I cut it off? Tuck it in?

Advise me, please and as the title of the post says, your answer can't be, "You bought cheap curtains." Thanks.

  1. You bought cheap... Just kidding.

I would just cut it off. I've never seen it before on curtains.

  3. I bought a simple pair of cream tab cutains from Walmart that had these once. Their purpose remains a mystery to me. They were also mismatched in length. Other than that they were great. I agree with the majority, though. Cut them off if you are sure you want to keep them.
